Interactive roromedia Kinect Game Enhances Mozart Workshop in Shanghai

The Austrian Music Education Association (AME), founded by our CEO Romana Obermair and the Head of the Federal Music School Peter Brugger is an organisation known for its holistic music education programs for children and adults. It is committed to promoting cultural diversity and fostering educational excellence. In collaboration with AME, roromedia had the privilege of developing an interactive game to add a playful component to the "Get to know Mozart" workshop for children and youth in Shanghai, China.

Through brainstorming and careful planning, we decided to create a game using the Kinect camera technology. Leveraging the Kinect's advanced capabilities, including depth sensing, we aimed to provide an engaging and immersive experience for the young participants.Roromedia designed an interactive game that allowed children to control a virtual Mozart riding in a carriage on a projected screen using their body movements. The objective was to collect as many gold bags and musical notes as possible within a 60-second time limit. To make the game more exciting, we integrated passing thunderclouds that deducted points, and every 15 seconds, the speed increased, adding a thrilling challenge to the gameplay. This interactive experience not only entertained the participants but also offered a fun way to incorporate physical activity and educational content.
