Our Commitment to a Green Solution: SodaStream in Our Office

At our company, we value the well-being of our team members and the environment. As we witnessed our team's love for sparkling water to keep their minds fresh while programming and working on complex solutions, we realized that buying sparkling water in plastic bottles was not the most eco-friendly choice. This realization led us to make a positive change and embrace a greener solution for our office. We are excited to share our journey of adopting a SodaStream, a home beverage carbonation system, to sponsor soda water in our office and reduce plastic waste.

The Inside Story: SodaStream vs. The International Bottled Water Association:

In 2017, SodaStream launched their "Shame or Glory" campaign, raising awareness about the detrimental effects of single-use plastic water bottles. This campaign garnered attention and even faced opposition from the International Bottled Water Association (IBWA). Despite the challenges, SodaStream stood their ground, emphasizing the importance of tap water and advocating for sustainable practices.

Inspired by SodaStream's mission, we decided to bring a SodaStream machine into our office. This simple yet innovative device allows us to carbonate tap water and create refreshing soda water without the need for plastic bottles. By using SodaStream, we not only reduce plastic waste but also contribute to a cleaner and healthier planet.

Apart from the environmental advantages, SodaStream offers additional benefits that enhance our office experience. The accompanying reusable SodaStream bottles have been tested to replace over 50,000 conventional bottles and cans. This means our team can enjoy carbonated beverages without generating excessive plastic waste.
